Tiny's Weight Loss Challenge - Medical Fund To Help FSPCA Animals In Need!

Organized by Fredericton SPCA

A Message From Tiny
Thank you everyone for visiting my Weight Loss Challenge donation page! You see I'm the kinda cat who sees the glass half full (well really I'd prefer it full all the time but that's another matter...). I can turn lemons into lemonade and that's what I'm doing with this challenge. If my health concerns and journey to fitness can help raise awareness about pet obesity and raise funds to help special needs animals at the Fredericton SPCA then I'll go on camera (even though it adds 10 lbs!!) and share my journey with the world! You can read a little more about my story below.

The Fredericton SPCA (the people in charge of my care) is a registered charity; if you donate $20 or more to my challenge you'll receive a tax receipt in the mail (make sure to include your address!).

Thank you so much, you make this diet thing my vet has me on worth it!

Meows, Tiny

Help Tiny become the Fredericton SCPA's Biggest Winner! Sponsor his weight loss and help special needs pet at the FSPCA!
Tiny came to the Fredericton SPCA Animal Shelter on December 30th 2011. He was taped up in a cardboard box with another much smaller cat, Rapunzel, and left in the shelter lobby. At first we thought the box was full of donations of computer paper, cat treats, etc. but then the box meowed. We were shocked to see what was inside; 2 cats Tiny and Rapunzel.

During his initial health check Tiny weighed in at 30.2 lbs, the largest cat we have ever seen! Concerned about his health we are putting Tiny on a diet and are hoping to inspire others.

Your donations to Tiny's Weight Loss Challenge will go to a special medical fund to help special needs animals like Tiny at the Fredericton SPCA. Tiny's special canned diet food is estimated to cost $4 - $5 a day, as well he will need regular vet check-ups and could require extensive testing. Tiny's weight loss partner is Pepper our shelter cat who weighs in at 19 lbs and she will also require the special diet food. Currently we have 2 senior female dogs Rita and Kya who are in need of spay surgeries that because of their age are more extensive and expensive surgeries, they also require some mammary gland tumor removal and post-op care estimated to cost about $1,200 each. Your support will help provide these amazing animals the best medical care and a second chance at the good life! Our current goal is $4,900 to cover special diet food and veterinary care for both Tiny & our shelter cat Pepper and both Rita and Kya's special surgeries.

You can donate a lump sum or donate per every pound Tiny looses (and don't forget about Pepper). Follow Tiny and Pepper's progress (photos, weigh ins and weight loss updates) at: www.facebook.com/frederictonspca
